3 hours to the Superbowl!

I seem to be one of the few people in the UK who is a massive fan of NFL.

Its been a season full of surprises and who would have thought Arizona would get to the suporbowl at the start of the season.

After some big defeats going into the playoffs, Arizona's defense have been playing superbly. This makes a mockery of all the analysts views on momentum as you enter the playoffs, Arizona had very little.

As for Pittsburgh, they have proved again that a good defense is more important than offense. When I started watching NFL a few years ago, I used to think having a good offense would win you games, especially with teams like Indianapolis and New England. Now I'm convinced a tough defense wins every time.

I think it will be a tight game, but Pittsburgh will likely prevail.

Liverpool's woes

Its been a tough month for Liverpool fans who have seen their team draw their last 4 games.

Many including me are pointing the blame squarely at their manager, Rafa Benitez. Now lets be clear I have never been a massive fan of Rafa but this month he's even surpassed his usual standards.

1. Why spend £20 million on a player that you then fail to even put on the bench for a game?

2. If your going to criticise the opposition, make sure you can back it up with results.

3. Why tell the press all about your contract dispute? Especially when your asking for control more than any other manager in England.

I've had a look at Liverpool's record this season and although they have only been defeated once, they have drawn nine times!

Rafa can say all he wants about teams playing defensively but when your team costs £20m and your opponents have one player worth £20m, of course you're going to defend. Playing a 4-5-1 counter attacking system isn't going to work at Anfield as most teams aren't likely to be throwing players forward for 90 minutes.

To give some context to these 9 draws if Liverpool had played more positively and won 3 games and lost 6, they would have the same number of points as they do now.

So why oh why Rafa do you continue to play 1 up front?

It will be intresting to see if anything changes for the Chelsea game tomorrow.
